28.6. 2018 - "Presidential Train" starts is exceptional journey

On 28th June 2018 the special "Prezidental train" starts its unique journey in Cezch Republic and Slovakia Republic. National Techincal Museum prepared this exceptional train project in cooperation with České dráhy Národní dopravce and Železnice Slovenské Republiky. The train shall consist of train coaches that were serving as transport coaches for several Czechoslovakia Presidents during the history of the State. With this project, National Technical Museum and České dráhy join the celebration of 100th anniversary of the foundation of Czechoslovakia Republic.

National Technical Museum, České dráhy and Železnice Slovenské republiky prepare a journey of the special "Presidential train" which consist of historic coaches. The idea to make this exceptional presentation came up because of the fact, that within NTM collection and inside of České dráhy rolling stock there are in total five pieces of saloon coaches, that were serving as a transport coach for several Czechoslovakia presidents, where they traveled by train. Three of these five sallon coaches are still operational.

This presentation is part of NTM project "Made in Czechoslovakia - the industry that ruled the world" which is the part of the celebration of 100^th anniversary of a foundation of Czechoslovakia Republic, approved by the government of Czech Republic by the law number 353 from 10^th May 2017.
