Motorcycle exposition in the castle KámenIn the early 1970s, in the castle Kámen, having preserved nothing of its original furnishings, a representative motorcycle museum was established. It is suggestively reminiscent of motorcycle events in this region from the early 20th century. In 1906, there was an international motorcycle race in nearby Pacov, under the auspices of the FIM. From the very beginning, the National Technical Museum was involved in preparing this exposition. We loaned the most valuable motorcycle from our collection, for instance, a Jawa 250 from 1939, the predecessor to the famous Jawa 250 known as the "Springer". Another interesting item is the street racing special Jawa 500 HOHC from 1951, the model on which our most famous motorcycle racer, František Šťastný, started his racing career.
