At the edge of the Letná park, in front of the National Technical Museum, stands the oldest floored carousel in Europe. The National Technical Museum is planning to restore the carousel's structural parts in the immediate future, which, however, will not be enough to restore the carousel to a fully functioning state. Therefore, a cooperative project between the district of Prague 7, the National Technical Museum and other nearby institutions has been formed to plan the restoration of the remaining portions, and return the carousel to fully functional status in the near future. This initiative is open to sponsorship by the public, that is, to anyone wishing to help restore the Letná carousel. You may contribute to the restoration fund by donating to transparent account: 107-9304750207/0100. On January 6th, 2015, a special fund-raising project was started in the National Technical Museum for the purpose of gathering funds for the restoration of the Letná carousel. The publicly announced goal of the project, in cooperation with the district of Prague 7 and other nearby institutions, is restoring this carousel to fully functional status. These funds will be used primarily for anticipated expenditures in connection with the carousel's restoration, along with those necessary to put it into operation. Please note that this is the ONE and ONLY such account for public fund-raising in connection with this carousel. The transparent account for public fund-raising for the Letná carousel was created in the Komerční Banka a. s. institution, since it is the primary banking institution in the Czech Republic, and is easily accessible via a large array of branch offices. Contributions may be sent to transparent account: 107-9304750207/0100IBAN: CZ26 0100 0001 0793 0475 0207 SWIFT: KOMBCZPPXXX Cash contributions may be deposited in collection boxes, which will soon be located throughout the National Technical Museum. Receipt forms for confirming your donation may be sent to: Please make sure the form is completely filled in before sending.
