Central Records for Collections

The Central Records for Collections Department creates and administrates the central records of the NTM’s collections, oversees the recording of collections, coordinates modifications of a collection database and administrates the loan agenda concerning objects borrowed from the NTM's collections.
Its other tasks include ensuring the performance of activities arising from Act. No. 71/1994 Coll., on the sale and export of objects of cultural value, as amended.
The department coordinates and verifies, with regard to administrative aspects, the activities of collection departments in recording, inventory taking and cataloguing of collections, conducted in accordance with Act No. 122/2000 Coll., on the protection of collections of a museum nature and on changes in other laws, as amended.
An integral part of the activities of this department also consists of ensuring continuous communication with the Registry of Museum-type Collections (CES) of the Czech Ministry of Culture and the updating of information on NTM collections that are entered in this registry.
