The oldest period of chemistry is represented in the collection by the alchemy laboratory equipped with a mix of replicas of lab vessels and tools from the end of the 15th century that were created in 1914 at the Kavalier Sázava glassworks according to the design by Otakar Zachar. The collection consists of glass vessels called retorts, alembics, pelicans, various clay vessels, distillation equipment, iron pliers and other tools of medieval alchemists.
