Electroacoustic transformers
The collection of microphones documents not only the basic development of this technology, but also the actual technical outfitting of historical companies and institutions. For example, there is a series of microphones from the early days of Český Rozhlas (Czech Broadcast) in 1932. (Reisz microphones from the Marconi company, booth microphone Huth.)
From the period around 1930 come several original electrodynamic microphones (ribbon microphone Siemens-Halske and Philips, and coil microphones Marconi, Philips and Standard Electric). The post-WWII period is represented by an electrostatic Neumann microphone. Besides a few rarities, the collection naturally includes all known types of microphones, as well as entire series of foreign and domestic manufacture. Also the speaker collection provides a good overview of the technology's development. There are speakers based on every known principle of sound reproduction. A rarity in the collection is, for example, a speaker using the Johnson-Rahbeck effect.
