The majority of the collection consists of a set of rotary electrical machines, for both direct and alternating current. It includes experimental models of early machines serving to transform mechanical energy to electrical and the reverse. Among domestic machines are mostly constructions of František Křižík and Emil Kolben (EAS, later ČKD), but also other local manufacturers, (Bartelmus – Donát, Sousedík, Škoda and others). The collection includes traction motors for electric railways (Křižík) and electromobils (Kolben, Sousedík). Foreign manufactured objects are primarily German and Austrian. There are also two high-frequency alternators from France, which were used for broadcasting. The fund also includes controllers and motor starters.

Further, the collection contains items for the distribution of electrical energy (cutouts, switches, circuit breakers, insulators, complete distribution panels, relays, fuses, small installation materials, etc.). The set of chemical and thermoelectric sources of electric power includes most types of galvanic cells used in this country and several batteries of thermocells, heated by gas or liquid fuel burners.

The collection of electrostatic instruments consist mostly of electrostatic sources – streetcars , further demonstration aids and even a collection of lightning rods.
