Instruments and accessories of cinematography

This collection documents the development of film technology after 1995. The oldest period is represented by wooden film cameras by the first manufacturers (Messter, Ernemann, Pathe, Ertel, Debrie). The quality products of Czech manufacturer Josef Šlechta occupy an honourable place among the first all-metal film cameras from the early 1920s.

The quality products of Czech manufacturer Josef Šlechta occupy an honourable place among the first all-metal film cameras from the early 1920s. The onset of sound film in the 1930s is represented by studio cameras enclosed in soundproof boxes. A series of professional film cameras by Czech and foreign manufacturers represents later periods. The collection contains amateur cameras of all used film formats and their accessories.
The processing of film in labs and finishing work is also documented by a number of objects. Of particular interest is the collection of over one hundred professional film projectors from all leading world manufacturers. The collection of projection heads, lamphouses and burners is also vast. Studio technology is represented by a wide variety of light sources and two models of a film studio.
