Hippomobiles

Hippomobiles

The National Technical Museum’s collection of Hippomobiles contains nearly thirty of the horse-drawn transportation vehicles. These mainly consist of passenger coaches that were domestically manufactured, but also includes a small collection of horse-drawn fire engines.
Due to the museum’s spatial limitations, most of the National Technical Museum’s Hippomobiles are stored in depositories and only occasionally exhibited to the public.
The NTM’s most important collection pieces are on long-term loan to and exhibited at the museum of carriages at the Ctěnice chateau near Prague.
