The collection consists of measuring and control instruments used in research, in machine building and in operating mechanical engineering equipment. The most extensive part of the collection is that of the workshop gauges and control gauges. The collection also features slide rules, micrometers, indicators, protractors, sets of gauges, drawing accessories and various special workshop measuring instruments. Operation measurement instruments are mainly represented by various types and systems of thermometers, barometers, manometers and vacuum gauges, as well as by special instruments such as a fumes analyser.
