The work safety collection was created along with the founding of the technical museum as a reaction to the attempts in that period to increase work safety partly through the introduction of various added safety features for machines that caused the most injuries and partly through the intense promotion of safety principles and rules. The museum’s exhibit was thus to become a means to educate the proletariat and public in this area.
The collection mainly features in models various machines equipped with added safety features that should prevent injury. In addition to these models, the collection also contains various worker protective equipment and some promotional and warning posters.
