The exhibition is dedicated to Tazio Nuvolari (1892 – 1953), one of the best racing drivers of the 20th century. It maps his more than 30 year career, mainly through photographs and some memorabilia.

The National Technical Museum is joining the celebrations marking the 700th anniversary of the birth of Emperor Charles IV with the exhibition “Civitas Carolina - Building under the Reign of Charles IV”. The event highlights the extraordinary achievements in the field of architecture during the great construction boom initiated by this outstanding ruler. It displays an array of contemporary construction elements and methods.

Exhibition informs about crimes committed as part of the ‘euthanasia’ of mentally ill and disabled people, the first programme of mass killing organised by the Nazis, explains the transition to the Holocaust, brings information about some of the experiments which Nazi doctors inflicted on inmates of concentration and death camps, and outlines the history of the immediately post-war investigation. Importance of the Nuremberg Medical Code is highlighted in the context of contemporary medical ethics and research. The exhibition includes several works of art.

Ten of the legendary Czechoslovak motored Velorex three-wheelers are on display – along with better known versions there are unique prototypes such as the HOBA II or the truck version, Velorex 435 D.

The exibition Czech Grand Design Awards: Finale 2015, presents the works of the nominated finalists in all authors categories: Designer of the Year - the Award of the Ministry of Culture of the Czech Republic, Jewelry Designer of the Year, Fashion Designer of the Year, Graphic Designer of the Year, Photograher of the Year, Store of the Year, Manufacturer of the Year, Discovery of the Year, Hall of Fame.

The exhibition focuses on the development of light sources from the mid-19th century to present. It maps the evolution of arc lamps as well as light bulbs.
For 2016 we have prepared on the occasion of anniversaries and important dates for severaldays, during which you will be able to visit the National Technical Museum for reduced admission ticket - CZK 50 per person. Discount does not apply to the admission to minese exhibition (an extra 50 or 30 CZK).

The exhibition celebrates the anniversary of Laurin & Klement cars. In 1895 bookseller Václav Klement and mechanic Václav Laurin founded a company and in a small workshop in Mladá Boleslav they began to build bicycles. In 1905 they created the first cars and in 1925 the merger with the Škoda group of Plzeň took place. The high-lights are five cars, unique models that present the story of a factory.

The exhibition sums up the first hundred years of photographing the Middle East since mid 19th century. So far it is the most comprehensive exhibition of orientalist photography in the Czech lands.
