This exhibition of National Technical Museum presents while using breathtaking installation the technology used during totalitarian eras between 1939-1989. We present tools and objects that were used by political regimes as well as the tool used by its opponents to fight for freedom. Among 140 exhibits we can see confiscated items used for trespassing the state borders, tools used by STB (State secret police) for watching regime dissidents or musical tools used by underground bands.

First September Satruday on the 7th September 2019 National Technical Museum is joining to celebrations of European Heritage Days. The main building on Letná in Prague is open for reduced addmission fee 50 CZK. Centre for Building Heritage of NTM in Plasy and Railway depositary in Chomutov are avaibale to be visited for free on that day. We have also prepared an interesting prgramme. This exhibition represent portrait made within the competion "Amongst Technique and Art. This year you may admire portratis of František Drtikol (photographer), František Janeček (founder of Jawa company) and czech-french painteres know under name Toyen.

in all objects of National Technical Museum (Main building on Letná, Centre for building heritage in Plasy and in Railway depositary in Chomutov) you may now find Automated external defibrillators (AED). This portable device serves for non-professional first aid for heart attack.

Aero company is one of the first aircraft company in Czechoslovakia. The company was founded in 1919. The aircraft production has been managed to continue in these days. Under Areo brand was also produced cars or sidecars for motorcycles. The renowened plane made by Aero company are Aero L-29 Delfín, Aero L-39 Albatros or Aero L-159 ALCA.

The International Children’s Exhibition of Fine Arts Lidice (ICEFA Lidice) was established in 1967 to commemorate the child victims from the Czech village of Lidice murdered by German Nazis, as well as all other children who have died in wars. This year the exhibition takes place in two different places at once. At the Lidice gallery and at National Technical Museum. The topic for this year is chemistry.

On the anniversary of 150th years from the birth of Kamil Hilbert, National Technical Museum opened a new exhibition dedicated to this exceptional architect. It is also 120th years ago when he was appointed to be in charge of finishing the construction of Saint Vitus Cathedral.

The exhibition presents the exceptional personality of Karel Kruise, professor of fermentation chemistry and photography at the faculty of Technique in Prague, who was a scientist, teacher and artist.

The exhibition was opened on the opportunity of 120 years anniversary of the foundation of Institute of Fermentation Chemistry and Institute of Photography at the faculty of Technique in Prague where Karel Kruis was the head of these Institutes since 1899. The public now has a chance to see archives of this exceptional chemists and photographer in NTM.

This exhibition was made on the opportunity of national collection for St. Vitus cathedral organs. The exhibition tells the story of history and present of the organs there.

This exhibition is part of the NTM project for the 100th anniversary of the foundation of Czechoslovak Republic entitled "Made in Czechoslovakia - the Industry that ruled the World. Within this exhibition, you may visit a fair where are presented products made by domestic companies. This exhibition adds contemporary production to the historical ones presented in the main exhibition.
