First exhibition focused on work of architects in the field of technical design, expressing the importance of possessing architectural knowledge in founding and developing industrial design field of study as an independent interdisciplinary discipline. A significant part of the exposition is  the first retrospective presentation of Jiří Kočandrle's work (1941).

National Technical Museum prepared exhibition „300 years of Müller’s map of Bohemia“ again. “HARDTMUTH: from Charcoal to a Pencil Empire” is the newest and for year 2022 the most significant exhibition opened by National Technical Museum. Within the exhibition its visitors may admire the wide scale of Joseph Hardtmuth personality, since he was an architect, inventor and successful entrepreneur, founding successful company, worldwide renowned for its history and production.

From 1st July it is possible to visti National Technical Museum for free by using Prague Vistior Pass. We are looking forwar for all local tourist as well as for from abroad.

 

The theme of the exhibition of the National Technical Museum, which was created in cooperation with the town of Ostrov and the Museum of Applied Arts in Prague, is porcelain made in the Pfeiffer und Löwenstein Schlackenwerth (PULS) porcelain factory and its owners. There is a large number of beautiful products on display, such as Doris-shaped terrine, which was awarded at an exhibition in Paris in 1925, CALAIS-shaped coffee and tea services and small sculptures.

The exhibition presents Czech glass, ceramics and porcelain in all its forms from raw materials and semi-finished products to finished products and works of art, from unique and handmade production to automatic production, having not only a rich tradition, but especially a remarkable present and interesting future. 14.4. - 2.10. 2022

The architecture and civil engineering archive of the National Technical Museum in Prague manages the most extensive personal resource of the distinguished architect and stage designer Bedřich Feuerstein (1892–1936).

The exhibition is the first retrospective of the work of the academic architect Jan Tatoušek (1929-2021), a remarkable figure from our strong pioneering generation of industrial designers. From his work with a very wide scope, visitors can see, for example, the Jawa UŘ-SST motorcycle (Super sport Tatoušek) called Bizon.

The exhibition entitled "How the world is measured" presents historical and contemporary binoculars, theodolites, naval sextants, mapping aids and GPS navigation stations. Among the 200 presented objects are several unique things: the sextant of Jost Bürgi and the theodolite of Heinrich Stolle from the time of Rudolf II. or the mirror sextant from the property of Napoleon I.

Exhibition „Jindřich Waldes. Entrepreneur, Collector, Patron ”, organized by the National Technical Museum in cooperation with the State Regional Archive in Prague, was established on the occasion of the 80th anniversary of the death of Jindřich Waldes and on the basis of research into extensive archival material.
